Book Creature Video Generator

An old book open on a desk in candlelight. An inked sketch on the page lifts out of it and turns three-dimensional above the paper.

You name the creature. The book, the candlelight, the ink texture and the rise off the page are the format.

What's sketched in the book?

Name the creature. The book, the candlelight and the rise off the page are handled for you.

  • A horned forest stag
  • A coiled sea serpent
  • A great horned owl
  • An armoured beetle the size of a fist
  • A snow leopard

How it works

You type one line. The format supplies everything else: the camera, the framing, the pacing, the lighting and the sound design are already written and are restated for every scene, which is what keeps a multi-scene video looking like one video.

You choose how many scenes and how long each one runs, from one to ten scenes of five to ten seconds. The length of the video is that multiplication, and so is the price. The default here is 2 scenes of 8 seconds.

The cheapest version of this format is 175 credits. Animated video is 35 credits per second of finished video in HD, 25 at Standard quality and 65 at Full HD. Plans start at $19 a month for 3,000 credits.

Why this format works

Candlelight and old paper carry an atmosphere that generated video is very good at, and that atmosphere does most of the work before anything happens.

It fits a strong niche cleanly. Fantasy, folklore, bestiary and mythology channels all have an obvious use for this shape.

The rise off the page is a clear, single-beat payoff in a video that needs no words.

Picking a subject that renders well

  • Name the creature. A wyvern. A kraken. A stag with too many antlers.
  • Creatures from folklore and myth suit the bestiary framing better than modern subjects.
  • Detail in the description helps the ink sketch read as hand-drawn before it lifts.
  • One scene per creature. A multi-scene video becomes a bestiary.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use my own creature designs?

You can describe them in detail in the subject line, and the sketch is generated from that. Character references are turned off on this template, so an uploaded image cannot be attached.

Is the book a specific book?

No. The format generates a generic old volume with an inked page rather than reproducing any real publication.

Is there narration?

No. Ambient sound only: paper, candle flame and the movement of the creature.

What does it cost?

175 credits for a five-second HD clip.
